NVR web interface - live display

This shows the camera’s current video feed and presents various controls and alerts.

  1. The main controls navigate through the interface, and handle administrative tasks. See the details here.

  2. The left flyout panel holds camera information. Click the chevron at top (circled) to collapse or expand this panel.

  3. The video area is where you view and control your feeds.

  4. The right flyout panel holds system controls. Click the chevron at top (circled) to collapse or expand this panel.

Left flyout panel

Camera tab

View a list of your cameras. At the top, the title shows which camera you are viewing, and the total of all cameras available. Enter a camera name in the search box to find a specific camera, or click the refresh icon to update the list.

Single Channel Sequences tab

The top displays all the groups you have set up. Select a group by clicking in it. Below the divider, it displays all the cameras in the selected group.

Pro Tip: It's easier to edit a camera group under Function Panel > Camera > Manage Camera > Edit Camera Group, plus it provides more controls.

The Add button creates a new group. You must name the group, set a dwell time, and use the checkboxes to select which camera(s) belong to that group. Each group must have at least one camera, and a camera can belong to more than one group.

If you click on a group to select it, you can click Edit to adjust the name or dwell, or Delete to remove it.

Customize Display Modes tab

All customized schemes display in the left panel. Double-click a scheme to launch it immediately.

Video area

Select a window in the preview area and then click a camera in the left panel to launch that camera in the window.

With a multi-camera display, drag one camera view to another window to swap those two views.

The video toolbar

At the left, you control the video display.

  1. Select single-camera or multi-camera view. If you are not running a PC that has the Luma plugin installed, this button changes to two buttons, one each for a single-channel and four-channel display.

  2. Displays (or hides) the recording status symbols: green stands for manual recording, red stands for sensor-based recording, yellow stands for motion-based recording, blue stands for scheduled recording, and cyan stands for AI recording.

  3. The full-screen button works with any view. Right-click to end full-screen mode.

  4. This button only appears if you are running a PC and have the Luma plugin installed. Select the streams that provide the video.

To the right are system control buttons.

  1. Triggers a manual alarm.

  2. Toggles the visibility of all cameras.

  3. Toggles recording all feeds to your computer.

  4. Toggles recording all feeds to the NVR.

  5. This icon only appears if you are running Internet Explorer, and have the Luma plugin installed. Press this to use your computer's microphone to talk through the speaker connected to the line out of the NVR. Use the Operation tab to talk with people using the camera's microphone and speaker.

Right flyout panel

Target Detection tab

This gives you a list of items that have been detected by AI analysis.

At the bottom, select Real Time to view the most recent events detected. Events are automatically removed after a time to keep the list current.

Select History to view all events as of the moment you clicked the button. New events are not added to this list to prevent it from scrolling as you review the events.

Operation tab

At the top are several command buttons, described left to right by row.

  1. Snapshot: Take a photo of the active camera feed.

  2. Close Image: Suspend the video feed.

  3. Client Record On/Off: Record to your computer.

  4. Remote Manual Record On/Off: Record to the NVR.

  5. Zoom In: Click this, then click and drag in the camera's screen to zoom in on that area.

  6. Zoom Out: Click this to expand the field of view.

  7. 3D Zoom (PTZ only): This icon activates 3D Zoom. When activated, aiming the PTZ is greatly simplified, although, since the NVR sits between you and the camera, it does not work as smoothly as it does directly from the camera interface. If you double-click on your video screen, the PTZ centers on that point. If you click and drag from left to right, the camera centers on that area and zooms in. Click and drag right to left, and the PTZ centers on that area and zooms out. If you have Smart Tracking enabled, 3D Zoom does not prevent the camera from returning to its home position.

  8. Enable/Disable Two-way Talk When active, this routes audio from your computer's microphone to the amplified speaker connected to the line out of the camera.

  9. Restore Original Proportions: Returns the display to its original size.

  10. Enable/Disable Audio: When enabled, use the slider to adjust the volume of the camera's microphone as it plays through your computer's audio output.

  11. Stream: Select which of the active camera's streams to view (and edit the parameters of the sub stream).

Lens Control tab

This panel only functions for motorized (but not PTZ) cameras. Here you can adjust the focus and zoom manually.

Click One-key Focus to have the camera adjust itself, and decide whether the camera should automatically refocus itself when switching from day mode to night mode.

PTZ tab

Here you can control your PTZ and call presets. See Function Panel > Camera > PTZ for details.
